Hollingbourne Information

At Hollingbourne, we provide many extra-curricular activities after school and during some of the lunch breaks. As well as games teams and the gym team, there is a computer club, an art club, infant and junior choirs, Maypole dance team and cookery club. We are virtually unique in the value we place on social education: we organise residential weekends away for all children in years 1 to 6, giving a special opportunity for all our children wishing to share an enjoyable few days in a different environment. The weekends range from camping at school, through outdoor adventure centres, to a long weekend in France. At Hollingbourne School, children are encouraged to develop their talents to the full, contributing positively and enthusiastically to school life. We aim to develop all pupils into confident, articulate and well-mannered children. One of the great advantages of a small school is that all children, who wish to, can be part of the choir, sports teams, and join any or all after school clubs. In encouraging the children to experience a range of academic, sporting, musical and cultural activities, we prepare them well for transition to secondary schools and life beyond.
