Helen's Trust Information

Helen’s Trust is a small local charity based in Derbyshire. The charity provides support to anyone with terminal illness, who has a prognosis of 6 months or less, and who wishes to be cared for and to die at home. We help anyone, anywhere in North Derbyshire and the High Peak, with any terminal illness. Our support is free to our beneficiaries, and we don’t means test as we believe this can cause unnecessary delays in providing the help people need. We never replace or replicate statutory services, but we do work with them, as well as other agencies and voluntary organisations, to ensure our beneficiaries receive the most comprehensive package of care for their individual needs and situation. We fund and coordinate equipment, non qualified nursing care, and in fact we will consider requests for anything that will enable our beneficiaries to achieve their wish of remaining at home, in familiar surroundings with their belongings and with friends, family and pets. We need to raise over £220,000 each year to provide the valuable services to our beneficiaries and our small staff team and dedicated supporters work very hard to do this and to raise awareness of the charity.
