Headstreams is a Bengaluru-based NGO working since 2008 to improve learning and livelihood outcomes for adolescents and youth from vulnerable and marginalised communities. We believe in transforming lives through creativity, craft and opportunity. Our flagship initiative, Asmishilp Creative Skills Academy is for young women who have experienced adversity in their childhood and have dropped out of mainstream education. Participants are trained in life skills, digital skills, financial literacy, and design, with pottery at the heart of it all, building a pathway toward well-being, meaningful work, and financial independence. More than vocational training, we see it as a first step towards self-belief, meaningful livelihoods, financial independence and the fullness of life. Every handcrafted piece created by our trainee women artisans represents more than beautiful design—it embodies resilience, dignity and hope. Every purchase helps create sustainable livelihoods and empowers women to build self-determined futures.
