Youth Leadership Institute builds communities where young people and their adult allies come together to create positive community change. For over 20 years, we have sparked change through our California community-based programs--in San Francisco, Marin, San Mateo and Fresno Counties--and our national Training and Consulting Services. The Youth Leadership Institute leads the way in engaging youth in several key areas of community change, including food access, youth philanthropy, educational equity, civic engagement, and prevention of alcohol, tobacco, and other drug use. YLI is committed to engaging and developing young people of color, low-income youth, and other non-traditional leaders as agents for social justice.

Founded in 1983, Sierra Forever Families mission is to transform the lives of children in foster care by building and nurturing permanent families. In 2009, Sierra adopted the Wonder Mentoring Program which provides one-to-one mentoring for children and youth in foster care. Since the agency's founding, more than 3,500 children and youth have successfully found a FOREVER FAMILY. The agency provides adoption and post-adoption services to area families and individuals at virtually no cost. The agency relies on funding from the federal, state and local governments, foundations, corporations and the community at large to ensure that the valuable services are available to children and families throughout Northern California. Youth Impact was established in 1985 as a charitable organization. Since its inception, Youth Impact has experienced considerable growth and diversification as it effectively responds to community needs. Youth Impact inspires youth to move forward to a successful life by investing skills, time and energy into their transition. Youth Impact empowers youth to make effective choices that give them enhanced control over their futures.
