The Halo Baseball Club (HBC) is a non-profit 501 c (7) amateur baseball club. A member of the Men's Senior Baseball League (MSBL) since January 2005. HBC was formed in late 2004 and began league play in early 2005 following the Los Angeles Angels Adult Baseball Camp held in Tempe Arizona. HBC has been a 30+ wood bat development league with games held every Sunday afternoon at Hornet Field on the campus of Fullerton College. Games are played year round by way of a Master Schedule from February into September. HBC participates and travels to various age division tournaments and was successful in winning in 2011 the 45+Cactus Division World Series in Phoenix in 2011, again in 2014 and 2015. HBC has also achieved in seven years being in the playoffs each of the years 2010-2016 with championships in 2011, 2014 and 2015. HBC has had a winning record percentage of .769. HBC entered a 55+ Cactus team in 2015 which also reach the semifinals in its first appearance and Quarterfinals in its second appearance in 2016. HBC entered a first time 50+ Cactus team which achieve a result as a semifinalist in 2016. HBC entered an inaugural 40+ Mountain as its 10th team in seven years. This new age and division was facing former MLB players and competed well despite huge obstacles and was very competitive but ended up not making the making the playoffs for the first time. HBC has made two trips thus far in 2014 and 2015 to SanQuentin prison to play their baseball teams (Giants and A's) and has been successful with a 4-0 record thus far. HBC honors and remembers the passing of its members, Joe Trosko #11 (2005), Larry Poland #25 (2006) and Brian Schlatter #17 (2011).
