HackTheClimate Hackathon and Awards Information

Hack the Climate is climate change advocate organization and event platform that unites Developers and Environment organizations all over the world to explore various technology applications for creating awareness, mitigation, adaptation, sustainability and responsiveness; and even developing an Application Program Interface from existing technology in climate change through a programming marathon or more popularly known as "hackathon". Hack the Climate Manila started with a winning grant from Davies for Peace to conduct a hackathon event in one of the world’s most stricken country from changes in the climate-- Philippines. The application for grant was inspired by what is known to be the world’s perfect storm, typhoon Haiyan or locally known in the Philippines as Yolanda that displaced thousands of families and killed more than 6,000 people.
