The nonprofit Burning Man Project provides the essential infrastructure of Black Rock City, and works year round to bring Burning Man culture to the world and the 10 Principles to life.
But it does not do this alone. Burning Man has given rise to a global network of communities that produce more than 90 official Burning Man events and create a range of initiatives based on the 10 Principles. Burning Man Project connects and empowers this creative ecosystem of builders, makers, doers, and community leaders through grants, education and training initiatives, and art and civic engagement programs like Burners Without Borders and the Fly Ranch Project.
Pioneer Works is a cultural center dedicated to experimentation, education and production across disciplines. Through a broad range of educational programs, performances, residencies and exhibitions, Pioneer Works transcends disciplinary boundaries to foster a community where alternative modes of thought are activated and supported. We strive to make culture accessible to all.
TechShop is a membership-based workshop and fabrication studio (a "makerspace") that provides access to the tools, equipment, education, and other resources needed for you to develop your ideas and turn them into reality. We offer a creative and collaborative community of like-minded people: makers, artists, tinkerers, entrepreneurs, and every D-I-Y enthusiast in between.
TechShop is paving the way for the future of innovation and manufacturing. Our goal is to spread the passion of the Maker Movement across the globe by continuing to open new locations, giving more and more people access to affordable tools.
