Guy French Information

Launching in Fall 2010, Guy French is a women's clothing line focused on redefining a staple in every modern woman's closet: the jacket. With exquisite fit and impeccable attention to detail, the timeless and versatile designs transition easily from work to play. Guy French was founded in New York City by two friends—Louisa Guy Roeder and Christina French Houghton—who chose to concentrate on one garment, applying exacting standards and focusing on integrity of material. They believe that the adaptability and timelessness of their jackets fit the contemporary emphasis on value and function. Guy French blazers explore the full potential of this wardrobe basic. Louisa was born and raised in London and most recently worked at Sotheby’s auction house in New York. She received her BA from the University of Pennsylvania and also completed coursework at RISD and Tuck School of Business. Christina grew up in Manhattan and most recently worked at an arts consultancy and communications firm. She received her BA from Macalester College and has lived and studied in France.
