From 1 July 2025, AgResearch is a Group of the Bioeconomy Science Institute. Our mission is to create a strong, sustainable pastoral agricultural sector for the benefit of New Zealand.

As an industry-good organisation, we help New Zealand dairy farmers lead the world in sustainable dairying by investing in research, new solutions and advocacy.

We're proud to represent the Kiwi sheep and beef farmers who are helping to feed the world with sustainably produced, grass-fed meat from animals reared in New Zealand's beautiful open spaces. Everything we do is geared towards making continuous on-farm improvements, securing better access to overseas markets, and elevating the status of New Zealand beef and lamb to boost demand for the meat our farmers produce. Working together, we help farmers to improve their business productivity and profitability, and ensure a thriving future for our industry for generations to come.
