Boisset is a family-owned collection of historic and unique wineries bound together by a common cause: authentic, terroir-driven wines in harmony with their history, their future and the land and people essential to their existence. With more than twenty historical and prestigious wineries in the world’s preeminent terroirs, including the Côte d’Or, Beaujolais, Rhône Valley, California’s Russian River Valley and the Napa Valley, each house retains its unique history, identity, and style, and all are united in the pursuit of fine wines expressive of their terroir. Boisset embraces its Franco-American roots with our vision that a spirit of collaboration and commitment to wine on both continents will transcend any divisions. We believe that the union of the two worlds of winemaking will deepen our shared appreciation of their distinctness, diversity and unity, and enrich and enliven our worlds. We are inspired to think that together, we can unite two continents and two cultures around wine. More than seventeen centuries of combined history unite the wineries of Boisset. Cistercian monks planted the vineyards of Le Clos Vougeot in 1110, inspiring Domaine de la Vougeraie to this day. Bouchard Aîné & Fils has built its family reputation in Beaune since 1750. Buena Vista Winery is California’s first premium winery, founded in Sonoma in 1857. These are just a few examples of the remarkable history of the Boisset Collection. Deepening the legacies of each of its estates is at the core of Boisset’s mission.

Domaines Barons de Rothschild Lafite is a close family of wine estates, each diverse in terroir and distinct in character, but all sharing in the same spirit. Firmly rooted in the very soil it cultivates, and dedicated to the art of exemplary winemaking since their first day at Château Lafite Rothschild in 1868, the DBR Lafite family has grown to include Château Duhart-Milon (Grand Cru Classé in Pauillac), Château Rieussec (Premier Grand Cru Classé in Sauternes), Château L’Évangile (Pomerol), Château Paradis Casseuil, as well as range of Bordeaux wines – Les Légendes R. Beyond the Bordeaux region, the family extends to Viña Los Vascos (Chile, 1988), Domaine d’Aussières (Languedoc, 1999), Bodegas CARO (Argentina, 1999), Domaine de Long Dai, in the Shandong region of China (2008) and Domaine William Fèvre (Chablis, 2024). With a sensitivity to each terroir’s unique demands, DBR Lafite champions a shared commitment to working hand in hand with the land that gives rise to each of its wines and has been certified B Corp in 2024.

We are leaders in Port wine in our own country, Portugal, and worldwide leaders in Colheitas, the noblest category of Tawny Port wine. Colheitas are single harvest Tawny Ports aged in oak barrels and bottled prior to release when they are ready for drinking. Sogevinus Group is also increasingly recognised for the quality of its DOC Douro wines, an area it has invested in since 2006 and that now represents 1.2 million bottles per year. The DOC Douro wines we produce– made with the same care and standards as our Port wines – are gaining international recognition with critics and wine press the world over. Our cellars offer the best Portuguese welcome to our many friends and clients. The Cálem cellars, are the most visited tourist destination in Vila Nova de Gaia with more than 300,000 visitors per year.
