The Center for American Progress is an independent, nonpartisan policy institute that is dedicated to improving the lives of all Americans through bold, progressive ideas, as well as strong leadership and concerted action. Our aim is not just to change the conversation, but to change the country.

The National Women's Law Center is a non-profit organization that has been working since 1972 to advance and protect women's legal rights. The Center focuses on major policy areas of importance to women and their families, including economic security, education, employment and health, with special attention give to the concerns of low-income women.

PolicyLink is a national research and action institute that is working to build a future where all people in the United States of America can participate in a flourishing multiracial democracy, prosper in an equitable economy, and live in thriving communities. We imagine a future where everyone benefits from responsive and accountable governing systems and structures. People have good jobs and rising standards of living. The communities they live in are places that support the collective dignity and well-being of all people. Housing is affordable, transportation is accessible, and all people can access safe water. We imagine a nation where a person’s race or zip code does not predict their life outcomes. A future where no one is expected to experience poverty or hunger or destitution, and there is no hierarchy of human value. There is, instead, a nation that works in service of our collective flourishing.
