Gravel City is a well established brand in the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane Region supplying bulk transport services as well as construction and landscaping materials to the building and construction industry for over 25 years. The business has a reputation as a reliable and professional operator being able to meet customer demands on short notice with the minimum of fuss. The business was established in 1981 by Gus and Christine Wittleton and operated by them until 2006 when Gus and Peter Turner (ex Business Manager Bracalba Quarry) formed a partnership to jointly operate and grow the Gravel City business. The bulk transport fleet operates from Beerburrum Road Elimbah and has experienced significant growth over the past few years. The business operates 30 company owned vehicles and around 25 regular subcontractors. The majority of the fleet are configured as Truck & 4 Axle trailer but also include 4 x 19metre B Doubles and a number of body trucks including tandem and single axle units. The business has long term contracts in place and, with the increase in works associated with major infrastructure in SE Qld over the next 3-5 years, expects to identify growth opportunities for further expansion. The landscape material side of the business operates from Roseby Road Caboolture and has grown significantly over the past few years with the branding of the business to Landscape City. The business focuses on supplying small quantities of Landscaping and construction materials to the retail and trade building and construction markets in Caboolture and surrounding areas. The business also hires a small amount of plant including, Bobcat, Excavator, Loader & Watertruck.
