This includes most Communications and Data cables, electrical cables, some water and sewerage pipes, gas and petroleum pipes. All new pipelines and conduit installs should be inspected for integrity and quality. For conduit installs, CCTV should be utilised to ensure pipe work has not been damaged prior to cable hauling. Many incidents have occurred over time with cables being hauled through damaged pipe work resulting in safety issues and financial burden. These problems can be overcome with a simple pipe inspection prior to cable haul or on completion of pipe laying.
