100 vuotta puutarhaosaamista ja hyvinvoinnin tuomista puutarhanhoidon ja puutarhatuotteiden avulla! Puutarhaliitto ry:n missiona on parantaa suomalaisten hyvinvointia puutarhaosaamisen keinoin edistämällä kestävää kehitystä, ympäristön monimuotoisuutta ja sitoutumalla vähentämään ilmastonmuutosta lisääviä tekijöitä omalla toiminnallaan. Tätä työtä olemme tehneet perustamisesta v. 1925 lähtien. Puutarhaliiton keskeinen tavoite on puutarhaharrastuksen edistäminen ja kestävän kehityksen menetelmiin ohjaaminen puutarhoissa ja pihoissa. Toiminnassa painotetaan kasvien alkuperän ja kasviaineiston kotimaisuuden tärkeyttä. Puutarhaharrastus ja puutarhatuotteet lisäävät ihmisten terveyttä ja edistävät hyvinvointia. Puutarhaliitto edistää myös tutkimusta ja suomalaisten puutarhatuotteiden käyttöä osallistuen näin myös kansanterveyden parantamiseen. Hyvinvointia puutarhasta!
