Goodwin Development Trust Information

Goodwin Development Trust was established in 1994 by residents of the Thornton Estate in Hull who wanted to improve their quality of life and access to local services. From that grassroots ambition grew a community-led organisation that truly reflects the ethos of social enterprise. Today, Goodwin employs around 120 staff and works alongside a similar number of dedicated volunteers. We operate across the city, delivering a wide range of services designed to support people at every stage of life. Our work includes: Housing Youth services Children’s services Family support FareShare Hull & Humber Training and employability programmes Doula and Breastfeeding Peer Support Danny’s Dream We’re proud of our strong community roots, our flexible and entrepreneurial approach, and the partnerships we’ve built with statutory, voluntary and professional organisations. Everything we do is about creating opportunity, tackling inequality, and improving quality of life in Hull.
