Global Components & Controls Information

Founded in 1986, GLOBAL COMPONENTS & CONTROLS was formed after the dissolution of the relay division of H. Kuhnke, Inc., the U.S. distribution arm of German relay manufacturer Kuhnke GmbH. Recognizing the void created by the dissolution and seeing room for expansion, GLOBAL continued the relationship with Kuhnke as a national distributor while adding select relay series which appealed to a broader base, in higher volumes. Since 1991, GLOBAL manufactures their own relays in fully automated production facilities located along the Pacific Rim. GLOBAL now offers a very broad range of relay products which are internationally accepted, field tested, and better than "competitively priced". Most relays carry UL, C-UL, CSA, TUV, VDE, and SEV approvals, alone or in combination. In response to customer requests, Global Components & Controls added an Audio/Alarm Division in 1995. Producing buzzers, transducers, and miniature speakers, this Division has grown into a dynamic force in the industry. Global Components & Controls expanded its product offering once again in 2004 with the start-up of its Switch Division. Manufacturing Rocker Switches, Pushbutton Switches, Toggle switches, Micro Switches, Slide Switches, and AC Adaptors, the Switch Division is providing high quality, RoHS compliant switches to an impressive line-up of OEM's. Our Strict Quality Control process (SPC) requires testing at each manufacturing stage, as well as a 100% final inspection before being released from production. Additional tests and inspections are performed once a shipment reaches our New Jersey facility. This procedure was designed to virtually eliminate the possibility of products which do not meet our high standards from ever reaching our customers. Our quality assurance team is continually reviewing and improving this process. In addition, ISO9000 and QS9000 certifications are in place. All products will be RoHS compliant by August 1, 2006.
