Global Leveraged Capital Founded in 2005, Global Leveraged Capital (GLC) is a private investment and advisory firm, focused on the middle market. We focus on two activities: GLC Investment Advisors and GLC Advisors & Co. GLC Investment Advisors GLC Investment Advisors is the investment arm of GLC, with approximately $500 million of assets under management. We focus primarily on the middle market, and invest debt and equity capital for leveraged buyouts, strategic acquisitions, recapitalizations and growth financings. We also are lead principal investors in distressed companies, where we can utilize our capital to play an active role in the restructuring process. We approach investing from a traditional merchant banking perspective, adding value with our experience, ideas and capital. Our Managing General Partners have over 80 combined years experience in leveraged finance, merchant banking, restructuring, and asset management with firms such as UBS Investment Bank, BNP Paribas, Donaldson Lufkin and Jenrette, Bankers Trust, Chase and Merrill Lynch. Since 1986, we have underwritten as Lead Arranger on over $30 billion of debt in leveraged transactions; invested approximately $1.0 billion of debt, private equity and distressed capital; served as an observer or member of the Board of Directors for over 50 companies; advised companies and creditors on restructuring debt assets in excess of $90 billion in over 75 transactions and managed credit opportunity and CDO funds in excess of $2 billion.
