Consultants. Human Biologics. GLAS/ is a medical pathology consulting firm and supplier of human biologics based in Winston-Salem, NC. We serve corporate and academic entities invested in translational research activities. GLAS/ is the founding member of the Carolina Tissue Cooperative. Through this network of members, we maintain an expansive archive of FFPE material representing a diverse collection of both medical and oncologic diseases. In collaboration with partnering pathology laboratories, we are able to generate pathologic specimens made to order. Some examples include: tissue curls, unstained slides, tissue microarrays, fresh wet-tissue, etc. We specialize in re-characterization of FFPE material previously acquired and held within the researcher's archive. This service enables repurposing of material for new projects in a cost-effective manner. We also offer a network of expert consultants that support three service lines: Research and medical device development, medicolegal expert review, and surgical pathology diagnostics. Our consultants can provide support in cancer surgery, oncology, neurology, maternal fetal medicine and pulmonary medicine.
