Guyana's leading department store. Located in the busy downtown district but relocating this year to the Giftland Mall on the outskirts of the capital city of Georgetown. Giftland Mall is a sister company which is under construction and expected to be operational in Q4 2013. The Giftland Mall will be Guyana's first mall complete with all the entertainment and food options that are standard worldwide - food court, restaurants, bars, 8-screen movie theatre, bowling alley and many more attractions that will make up the 120 odd concessions operating in the Mall. Giftland OfficeMax will be the anchor department store at this location, at a size of over 80,000 square feet. Giftland OfficeMax currently provides employment for over 200, with that expected to grow to approximately 800. All stores/concessions at the mall are expected to provide employment for over 2,000 persons.
