Gerrits Construction Information

Gerrits Construction, Inc. is a visionary firm renowned for its leadership in safety, budgeting, and scheduling within the construction industry. Established in 1945 by Edward J. Gerrits, our company was built on a foundation of quality and client-centric values. Over the past 80 years, we have expanded our operations to 8 countries, 17 states, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and nearly half of the counties in Florida. Our reputation for prioritizing our clients’ interests has been the cornerstone of our success and growth. Throughout our history, we have maintained a commitment to excellence, recognizing that our reputation is vital to our future. Despite once being ranked among the Top 100 Largest Contractors in the United States, we have learned that size does not equate to quality. Since the early 2000s, we have concentrated our efforts on the Florida market, shifting our focus from being one of the largest contractors to one of the highest quality and most capable construction companies in the state. This strategic shift has allowed us to selectively pursue a limited number of projects each year, ensuring that we provide meticulous care and attention to each one. In recent decades, Gerrits has specialized in partnering with clients who have multiple projects across various sites. Our extensive experience, gained from completing hundreds of projects throughout Florida, has equipped us with the flexibility needed to accommodate renovations, expansions, and modernizations—often while working around occupied facilities.
