Gadelius has a more than 100 years history of introducing new and innovative products to Japan, as well as introducing innovative Japanese products to Europe, and we have been quite successful at it. The vast majority of Swedish Industrial companies have started their exports to Japan through Gadelius--ABB, Fläkt, Sandvik, SKF, Ericsson, and Höganäs are just some examples. Most of the pulp digesters, air preheaters for powerplants and industrial elevators in Japan have been delivered and installed by Gadelius. We have received medals from the King of Sweden. We have survived earthquakes, wars and financial crises. The history is breathtaking and we are very proud of it. It could be easy to become complacent. But just because you are more than 100 years old, you don't have to act like it... and we don't. We have adapted to the changes in time and today we are a group of entrepreneurial people with an average age of 38 years, focusing our efforts in niche areas that are important today. For example, we are committed to provide Japanese builders with the best equipment from around the world for building low energy single family houses. With our latest products we are hopeful that we can provide solutions to build houses that generate more energy than it uses. In our medical division we are building up a complete portfolio of products for minimally invasive surgery and we are also taking an active part of ensuring that the next generation of surgeons in Japan receives proper training in this field. In our industrial area we are currently rather dramatically improving productivity when renovating concrete buildings built in the 60's and 70's, by supplying movable work platforms replacing scaffolding. There are many more examples, but the common denominator is that we work with high quality products sourced from around the world in well-defined and usually very narrow niches.
