FutureFit Information

FutureFit has been set up to support the transition required to ensure the future of sport. We passionately believe in the importance of sport, but recognise that without tackling the issue of environmental sustainability and sustainable development, sport at all levels faces the possibility of becoming a pastime for the select few, rather than the community as a whole. Sport needs to address the threat of this imbalance and plan the implementation of its aspirations for the future, whilst ensuring that sport is accessible to all, irrespective of background. FutureFit is: • Seeking to establish eco-standards for all activities relating to the operation of sports clubs • Using the power of sport to spread information about environmental issues and the need for sustainability to the widest possible audience. • Sharing knowledge, information and learning - to promote sustainability in sport. • Showcasing examples and promoting best eco practice. • Engaging with governing bodies and clubs at all levels.
