Flying Spark is proud to be the only company in the world that is deriving high-quality oils and protein from the Mediterranean fruit fly larvae. Farmed and processed using our proprietary technology in a state of the art production facility in Thailand, the fruit fly larvae require less water, land and feed for development compared to poultry, fish and livestock, thereby leaving a minimal ecological footprint. The oil produced from our fruit fly larvae is high in nutrients including Palmitoleic acid (Omega 7), Palmitic acid, Oleic acid and Linoleic acid. The protein has a high-quality essential amino-acid profile, high-quality fatty acids, low cholesterol and is extremely rich in calcium, iron and magnesium. All Flying Spark products are free from antibiotics, hormones and pesticides and the production process produces no methane emissions and consumes very low quantities of water.
