Agronutris is the first French biotech company dedicated to the development of the insect rearing industry as an answer to the feed challenges of tomorrow. AgriProtein is leading a new industry called nutrient upcycling. Our mission is to close the loop in food production. We use our technology to leverage the natural capabilities of the black soldier fly; feeding its larvae existing organic waste to create a sustainable, natural protein for pets, livestock and fish. Our industrial-scale bioconversion process takes organic waste streams from food factories, supermarkets, farms and restaurants, and recycles these into valuable products including: an insect based complete protein (MagMeal™), a versatile, natural oil (MagOil™) and a rich residual soil conditioner (MagSoil™). AgriProtein has been developing its technology since 2008. In 2016, we opened the world’s first industrial scale insect facility in Cape Town, South Africa with the capacity to divert 100 tonnes of organic waste from landfill per day and produce over 2,000 tonnes of MagMeal™ per year. Biofabrik - The Planet’s Company 🌍 The Biofabrik Group finds innovative and sustainable technologies and brings them to a bigger scale through a 360º degree service of engineer consulting, sales and marketing. The current ongoing projects concern: The WASTX Plastic of Biofabrik White Refinery®, which processes different kinds of streams of plastic waste into valuable recycling oil. The economic efficiency of the plant allows it to be operated profitably even with small quantities, and decentrally at the location where the waste is produced. The resulting pyrolysis oil can be sold to the petrochemical industry or converted into electricity. The WASTX Oil of Biofabrik Black Refinery® cleans and distills various types of used and exhausted gas oils, such as waste diesel and heating oil. The mechanism is compact, automated and decentralized and is also able to process high quantities of marine sludge coming from the shipping industry. The biorefinery of Biofabrik Green Refinery® extracts raw materials for the animal feed, chemical and food processing industries out of fresh grass.
