To start off, we’re serious about movies. We’re also not serious at all. It’s an inner struggle we have to deal with on a daily basis. We love movies and we love to talk about them in deep, meaningful ways, but we also love seeing a guy’s head get lopped off by a machete. Why does serious appreciation and understanding of the artistic medium of film have to be at odds with serious appreciation of the banality and pure awesomeness of movies? At Flixist, we don’t think it does.
