Filles Vertes Publishing Information

Growing up with the last name Green and being one of four girls should be explanation enough. But I chose the name for my company not because it tells you unnecessary information about my maiden name and siblings, but because it embodies who I am. I am a Green girl. I am fresh, wild, and deeply loved. But unfortunately, I can't photosynthesize because I have no chlorophyll. So, whether you can pronounce the name or just want to call us "FVP," whether you care about our name or focus on our quality reputation, one thing's for sure: you'll never question our passion for stories. Reading a good book can magically transport you to an alternate world. Writing a good book takes commitment, passion, and sacrifice in this world. Publishing a book should live somewhere between the two, snuggled in a world of growth and magic, where the boundaries of creativity can be pushed, and the roads of design and marketing can be traveled well. At FVP, we understand that every author is different. As a close-knit, traditional independent press, our team can give direct attention to each of our authors' industry strengths and fill in around their weaknesses. We spend as much time with our authors as necessary, constructing an original publishing and marketing plan to cater to each unique style. While we handle the business side of publishing, involving our authors much or as little as we collectively decide is needed and desired, they can concentrate on doing what they do best-writing. With an eye for books that move us to think differently about our world and my finger on the pulse of the market, I have an intuitive feel for what readers want.
