In Biddeford, Maine, our teams focus on multidirectional reinforced Carbon/Carbon (C/C) and Ceramic Matrix Composites (CMCs) used in demanding applications such as thermal protection systems, re‑entry vehicle nose tips, and rocket motor nozzles. Our Woonsocket, Rhode Island facility excels in textile engineering, producing advanced 2D woven fabrics, 3D woven preforms, braided preforms and near net shape and fiber-reinforced composites from world-leading materials like carbon, glass, aramid, and ceramic. Our Winston‑Salem, North Carolina facility serves as our composites manufacturing hub, delivering Refrasil® silica cloth, carbonized rayon, and carbon phenolic composites for re‑entry vehicle heatshields.
