Founded in 1973, the Foire Internationale d’Art Contemporain is held at the end of October in Paris. The annual selection – including many of the most influential specialists worldwide in the fields of modern art, contemporary art and design – presents the finest examples of artistic creation since the turn of the twentieth century; modern masters through to the latest trends, notably represented in the Lafayette Sector. Under the direction of Jennifer Flay, in place since 2003, new projects have been developed. Among them : FIAC Projects, FIAC Hors les Murs. FIAC Programmes offers a cultural programme of performances through Parades for FIAC, talks in the Conversation Room and artists films screenings at the Cinéphémère. The influence of the fair contributes, year after year, to the reputation of international artists and galleries around the world, providing them exposure from a well-established institution.
