The Everett Program is an innovative and unique social entrepreneurship and technology program at UC Santa Cruz. We teach the next generation of info-savvy leaders in the nonprofit and NGO world. Our students identify needs, design projects to address those needs, and then obtain funding to implement those projects. Everett students have implemented projects around the world, across the US, and locally in Santa Cruz County. From mobile health reporting in Ghana, data management for Muslim Feminists in Malaysia, tech training for Oaxacan woman artisans, to training Watsonville High School students to create their own college mentor mobile apps, Everett empowers youth to go into the world and fight for social justice, combat inequality, and work towards democratizing globalization.
