We are a very rare company in the New Zealand context, in that we are privately owned and have been operating with some of our local government contracts for over 18 years. We have relationships dating back 20 years to when the company was first formed as Streetsmart Limited. Operating in the North and South Island and with a large workforce, modern systems and scalable operations, we believe that we are the ideal fit between a small local contractor and large international companies. Who are we? We are the third largest Waste and Recycling Company in New Zealand We employ staff directly within the communities in which we work. We have been servicing Councils around New Zealand for 20-years. We use local service providers to support our operations as part of our philosophy of working with the local community.

Established in 2000, the EcoInsulation business has become a leading national installer of energy efficiency solutions for buildings in New Zealand using high performance, safe and sustainable insulation. Initially focused on the retrofit of ceiling insulation in homes to support the Government healthy homes schemes, today EcoInsulation has partnerships with some of the largest manufacturers of building products in the world, and offers a much wider range of insulation products and services in the Residential and Commercial markets for both existing and new buildings. The EcoInsulation product range includes sheep’s wool, polyester, glasswool and specialty products that are BRANZ appraised. EcoInsulation products are often used in high performance homes and buildings that require warranted sustainability characteristics. EcoInsulation’s products and service are supplied to Carters and installed by a network of Accredited Installers. In 2021, the EcoInsulation business was acquired by Knauf Insulation (from Germany) which is investing in new systems and energy services to deliver warranted “real” performance from installed insulation solutions.
