EMD Indonesia Information

EMD Indonesia is an association of domestic and foreign-owned prospecting, exploration and mining companies active in Indonesia. Its aim is to advance the exploration and early-stage mining development sector throughout Indonesia and committed to provide benefits to all stakeholders through best technical practice with genuine respect to social and environmental issues and in accordance to national policy. EMD members represent a diverse range of industries including mining development, services, and law firms which make EMD an attractive platform to exchange information, advocate on the industry’s behalf, and expand professional networks. The principal objectives of EMD: - Promote the minerals sector in Indonesia in a socially, politically, environmentally and commercially responsible way; - Attract investment in prospecting for new resource discoveries in Indonesia; - Assist the Indonesian government in developing an attractive minerals policy; - Build relationships between prospecting, exploration and mining companies with other stakeholders in Indonesia; - Communicate the positive benefits of the mining sector to the Indonesian public Membership of the Association is open to all companies and individuals actively engaged in the Indonesian prospecting, exploration and mining industry and explorers, producers and suppliers of equipment or services.
