CCPHI Information

CCPHI is a non-profit organization which promotes and facilitates partnerships among companies, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and local governments for healthy and sustainable communities. We help them build the trust, knowledge, and skills needed for successful partnerships. •To build trust CCPHI helps design the partnerships and fosters the capacity of both sides to partner well. CCPHI promotes the message that adequate trust among partners, when combined with access to sustainable funding, governance and accountability are crucial to the success of public-private partnerships in the health sector. •To build knowledge CCPHI documents and uses existing partnership experiences to increase learning on how to partner. •To build skills CCPHI uses the experience of organizations we work with to develop tools on skills such as how to find the right partner, how to communicate across sectors, and how to develop metrics to measure partnership needs, monitor progress, and share inspired results. Our approach and tools are applicable to a wide range of development challenges. CCPHI tools help organizations to form more partnerships for community health and sustainability; for example, by sharing widely the information on how to partner effectively with NGOs across sectors. OUR RATIONALE Health is key to sustainable development. Half the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) adopted by governments worldwide to achieve peace and sustainable development in the 21st century call for reductions in poverty and hunger, child mortality, maternal mortality, and infectious diseases. Achieving these goals requires that health resources reach more women and that requires the involvement of all sectors.
