Domus Cordis Information

We are Catholic today's apostles who inspire young people to change the world in Christ. Inspired by St. John Paul II, a group of young people set up Domus Cordis or the House of Hearts Community (2007) where every community member, who is hereby called "cordisian", shares the willingness to let God shape their hearts in a way to know, love and serve Him in renewing the world in Christ. Preaching on the World Youth Day 2008, Pope Benedict XVI addressed young people as "... a new generation of apostles, to bring the world to Christ!"We are heading there. We want to become today's apostles community, namely young people who has courage to choose to live the apostle life in the modern era, who generously practice the acts of self-giving for the sake of change towards the world in Christ. Having age ranges mostly from 20 to 30, fellow Cordisians come from different urban backgrounds, but together we learn to live the 7 CorValues in this community. e have photographers, doctors, designers, and technology geek, even football enthusiast, sound engineer, and investment consultants. We also come from different areas across Greater Jakarta where facing heavy traffic jam before any scheduled meeting is no more a special issue. ut we can really make it, why? Because we believe in the reason we strive for, because we have the same goal to pursue, and because love is stronger than any traffic jam whatsoever. ? For that reason, DC always needs happy young people, who are not afraid of stepping outside the comfort zone and willing to join and work hard to create changes for the sake of the establishment of the culture of love in this world.
