At that time the club's name was the Wingfoot Sportsman Club and the trap range was located behind the former Goodyear hose plant- now Veyance. Veyance has a company policy of no guns on the premises so five years ago the range was closed. The Elkhorn Valley Sportsman Club was reorganized in 2009 with plans to find a new location for the trap range. A lease for land three miles east of Norfolk on Norfolk Avenue was signed in 2009. Here is what has gone on since that time: Winter 2009: Tom Gansebom, Shannon Sorrick, and Mike Finkral met several times with Steve Ganskow about leasing land to build a trap range.
