Join us at EHAMA. 5th Level Black Belt & Head Instructor of EHAMA, Renshi Hari-Om RadhaKrishna started with American Karate (Tae Kwon Do incorporating Western boxing) in 1987 first in a YMCA program and then joining American Karate Studio in La Crosse, WI, attending classes for about 5 years, before moving out-of-town. In September 1997, Hari-Om tested for 1st Dan (1st level black belt) in the UW-L Martial Arts Clubs eclectic style of Eskrima-Kali-Arnis, Aikido, Tae Kwon Do, and Muay Thai. After almost 3 years of teaching and training daily, in July 2000 Hari-Om tested for 2nd Dan under Shihan Greg Murphy. Hari-Om partnered with Mr. Murphy, starting a new club teaching Eskrima and Aikido as Blue Wave Martial Arts where he earned his 3rd Dan in 2004. Starting in 2007, Hari-Om began 5 years as Lead Class Instructor at Osthoff Resorts Aspira destination spa. In January 2010, Hari-Om earned his title Yoga Acharya in a Yoga Master Certification through Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Ashrams and Centres International. From 2007 through 2013 he trained with 9th Dan Doce Pares Eskrima-Kali-Arnis Grand Master Tom Sipin & Master Kelii Sipin. In 2013 Hari-Om & Nina RadhaKrishna moved to Ashland, OR, & began training with 10th Dan Grand Master Jerry Piddington, the founder of AKANA (American Karate Academies National Association). In July 2015, Hari-Om tested for 4th Dan in Eclectic Holistic Asian Martial Arts under Hanshi Piddington , and opened the AKANA Charter School, Eclectic Holistic Asian Martial Arts or EHAMA. Hari-Om's most recent accomplishment was being awarded the the rank 5th Dan, on July 2017, and the title "Renshi" which translates as "polished expert" or master instructor. *One practices in holistic martial arts to heighten their skills, have vibrant health, and to raise their awareness in all aspects of their lives.
