egoé began in summer days when a group of friends – designers of the Czech company mmcité dealing in the design and production of street furniture – tried to choose outdoor furniture for their gardens and terraces fitting their style and usage requirements. None of the products then available on the market fully suited them and they decided to establish a brand according to their own vision. Design exclusivity visible from afar was never the aim of the brand. The main goal was to design a collection that is sober, refined, minimal, funny and respectful of its surroundings. We design each product to fit naturally into the intended environment. The foremost values in our design are refinement, simplicity and practicality. egoé comes from Bílovice, a small village in the Moravia region of Czech Republic, where you can still find folk traditions, customs and artisans skilled in work with wood and other materials. All the furniture by egoé is locally sourced and produced in Bílovice. We made the manufacturing process as efficient as possible, focusing on quality as the main criterion. This results in a collection that can age. egoé brings the mmcité experience from public space into garden furniture. Not only practical experience and the ability to select the appropriate material and process it well, but also about the human experiences of our designers thanks to their long-term cooperation with architects and other designers. Nowadays, we create our own furniture series, which are designed not only by us but also by notable Czech designers through external cooperation. This creates an interesting product portfolio for various target groups and customer needs, not only their homes but also for the public space. We currently aim to develop the concept of people and their outdoor activities, not only in furniture but in all areas where there is a need to cultivate life outdoors. From playgrounds, through special camper car conversions to leisure activities.
