Efficiency Matrix produced products and services with its qualified personnel in both Air Pressure Testing and architectural consultation services. We work closely with clients to assist them in realising benefits of understanding energy efficiency gaps in their premises. We produce results by: • Consultation/Workshops - prior/during design & construction phases to advise or offer direction in the approach of achieving an airtight building. • Airtightness testing - detailed inspections during the construction phase of new/refurb buildings, to verify that the airtightness target of the design is on the right track. Some companies may try to pressure test parts of a building during construction, but this is not very efficient, as it is a costly exercise and highlights leaks in parts of the building envelope internal to the building that does not impact the overall leakage rate when you conduct a whole test. If you have not built tight in the first place, making it tight after the fact is a very costly business. • Diagnostics - should the airtightness target not be met at the completion of the building, and the services(Not provided by Efficiency Matrix) provided on the job have not been successful in achieving a tight enough building for specification, Efficiency Matrix can come in and perform a detailed diagnostics utilising physical inspection and in some cases thermal imaging technology/theatrical smoke, to produce a report, highlighting remedial actions required.
