The Federation was founded in 1969 and includes the key European National Associations and its Members. The total turnover of the 550 companies represented by EFCEM National Associations amounts to over € 3,600m and their products range from utensils to full professional kitchen schemes. EFCEM is the only Commercial Kitchen Equipment Group represented in Brussels by Orgalim, the highly respected voice of the European Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Industries. Through this high-level of representation EFCEM is able to advocate and influence current legislation while anticipating regulations. With over 65% of legislation originating in Brussels, this is the heart of EFCEM’s work. The federation is active in the formulation of standards for the industry and through its meetings seeks to identify and act on issues of common interest.
