Edif Group is backed by Phoenix Equity Partners, a leading UK mid-market private equity investor. The group’s first acquisition was the management buyout of the engineering consulting business of ERA Technology (now Edif ERA) from Cobham plc, in February 2011. In November 2011 Edif completed its second acquisition with the buyout of NDE Global Technical Services GmbH (now Edif NDE). Since then the Group has completed twelve acquisitions, including most recently OST Energy. OST is an award winning, global independent engineering consultancy specialising in technical advisory services for the renewable energy market. Other recent acquisitions include Matthews Engineering Training (MET) and London Power Associates (LPA). The Edif Group recently completed a rebranding process; introducing a brand strategy utilising one brand name in order to unify Edif's acquisition into one brand family. At the beginning of 2015, ERA Technology became Edif ERA and NDE Global became Edif NDE.
