Alcohol Focus Scotland is the national charity working to prevent and reduce alcohol-related harm. We aim to reduce the impact of alcohol on individuals, families, communities and Scotland as a whole, through the implementation of effective alcohol control policies and legislation. We want to see fewer people have their health damaged or lives cut short due to alcohol, fewer children and families suffering as a result of other people's drinking, and communities free from alcohol-related crime and violence. Our work involves: • Communicating news, information, research findings and briefings • Gathering evidence of the harm caused by alcohol and influencing key decision makers by advocating for effective policy • Developing learning opportunities and resources to support best practice

Sleeping on the streets is debilitating, cold and dangerous. It shatters lives and robs people of their dignity, their self-esteem and their health. Last year over 10,000 people slept rough on the streets of London. This figure has been rising, but still doesn’t include people who are ‘hidden homeless’ e.g. sleeping in squats or sofa surfing. The shocking reality is that this figure is likely to be greater by the thousands. At Providence Row we tackle the root causes of homelessness to help people get off, and stay off, the streets. Working with people to build skills and confidence is the key to success and last year more than 1,600 people used our services. We will work with people, whatever their background, to help them to an independent and fulfilled life away from homelessness and exclusion, in which they are contributing members of the community. This means that we will address not only their immediate needs, but also the underlying issues and causes of their homelessness and exclusion.

Enfield Clubhouse is a small, independent charity set up to help people with a mental illness recover purposeful lives in the community. Enfield Clubhouse aims to help people with the most severe and enduring mental health problems such as schizophrenia, bi-polar disorder (or manic depression), psychotic depression and anxiety disorders find and sustain meaningful work, social lives and supportive relationships. Clubhouse has been operational since March 2006 and currently works with up to 20 members, two days a week (Wednesdays and Fridays).
