edcahoots was founded in 2010 as an educational therapy practice by our executive director, Ashley Shapiro, MA, BCET. Ashley's hope was to help learners strengthen their weaknesses in learning and processing while fostering autonomy, improving self-esteem, and facilitating learning enjoyment. edcahoots believes that students learn best in the context of a supportive learning environment in which they participate in learning opportunities tailored to met their individual needs and learning styles. Today, edcahoots has grown to a team of six specialists, each of whom has specific training in a variety of techniques and strategies to help address student's learning needs. Our collaborative model enables us to capitalize on one another's resources and skills and makes us better able to meet the needs of our individual students. Working together to help students succeed, that's education in cahoots!
