The European Calcium Silicate Producers Association (ECSPA) was founded in 1989. It's members are national calcium silicate masonry unit producers and producer organisations from Europe. ECSPA deals with common subjects of the entire European calcium silicate masonry unit industry. It is involved in and promotes research and development activities. ECSPA is the platform for it's national experts to exchange on topics related to e.g. standardisation, application and production technology. It is liaised with CEN and is an important contributor to the European standards related to masonry and masonry product standards. ECSPA defends its members interest toward the European institutions in a coordinated and positive way. It maintains good working relations with the European Commission & Parliament, CEN and other institutions.
