Ealing Synagogue is the synagogue of west London and is the last synagogue before London Heathrow Airport. The shul first came into existence as the result of two men, David Assersohn zl and Max Kanal zl, meeting across Ealing Common and deciding that as they had discovered Jewish people in the area (just their families that they knew of at the time) they should start a shul. That was in 1919. Today, Ealing Synagogue is still going strong. It has gone through many changes, ups and downs, and is still serving the community as a religious and social centre. Services are held every Friday night, Shabbat morning, Sunday morning, Rosh Chodesh and on all chagim.
