Based in Oakland, CA, Dynamoid is an educational software company committed to democratizing science education through our flagship product, 10k Science. 10k Science is a platform for VR science education, featuring rigorous, immersive learning experiences for high school students. 10k Science includes a growing library of inquiry-driven content from researchers at Cambridge, UC Berkeley, UC Davis, and others, with alignment to the Next Generation Science Standards by Lawrence Hall of Science. In one experience–based on the work of Jennifer Doudna's Innovative Genomics Institute–students zoom inside a human body and explore a CRISPR treatment for sickle cell disease. An AI-powered teacher’s assistant guides students with live audio interactions and responds verbally, in real-time. Designed to help teachers evaluate student learning and provide critical feedback, the web-based dashboard monitors student progression and gives insight into the student thought process. A 2022 pilot study demonstrated significant increases in engagement and learning, highlighting the incredible potential for 10k Science to overcome the limitations of traditional media.
