DCS: Providing innovative dragline control systems solutions since 1992, with over 900 years in combined mining experience. In 1992 Drives & Controls Services, Inc. began business upon the vision of its owners who had been, and continue to be, active in electrical field service on mining excavators. They recognized a change in the future for this type of work. Their hands-on experience, supported by their knowledge in mining electrical applications, allowed for a unique partnership to be developed. The mining industry is becoming a very competitive environment. DCS gives mining operations an edge by leveraging technology to increase production of the existing mining equipment, reduce maintenance costs, and increase reliability. DCS has developed application enhancements for conventional electrical systems that have led to increased productivity and machine availability for mining excavators. The range of DCS upgrades has included excavator system controls, operator ergonomic concerns, power system voltage stabilization, and web based production monitoring.
