DiRAC is the STFC-funded integrated supercomputing facility for theoretical modelling and HPC-based research in particle physics, astronomy and cosmology. DiRAC has researchers all over the UK exploiting its computational resources distributed over the following Universities: Cambridge, Leicester, Durham, and Edinburgh. The separate facilities make use of different architecture to optimise the running of different algorithms. DiRAC provides beginners-level training for their new users through selected course materials and testing. Additional training opportunities are available for further improvement of coding skills, and DiRAC also runs hackathons allowing users to utilise new technology.
