We are dextrous, creative professional problem solvers. Our womxn-owned architecture studio is located on Commercial Street in an accessible building in downtown Portland. Our clients are value driven. Our projects include multi-family infill Fair-housing compliant apartments/condo buildings, dental and veterinary clinics, restaurants, art studios, coffee roasteries, lobster processing facilities and traditional floor malting houses. We like a challenge, whether it’s a tight-urban site, or highly detail-oriented, technical project. We believe the best ideas in our projects originate with our clients. Their years of industry experience inform and guide our work. Their passion inspires us. We view our task as partners in developing projects which conform to the complex regulatory standards of the built environment while meeting our client’s programmatic goals. Our commercial work is grounded-in our client’s employee and user experiences. We design work spaces which seek to make jobs easier, safer, more fun and performed in spaces that align with a company’s image and values. Our work is purpose-driven. In short, we seek to design spaces that make people feel good; physically and psychologically. We strive to improve lives and eliminate barriers by designing great spaces and places. Our multi-family projects create new living spaces that allow occupants to age in place, increases accessible housing opportunities within communities and reduce reliance on fossil fuels for transportation. We believe in creating communities where front doors are accessible to walkers, cyclists, rollators, strollers and wheelchairs. We strive to find ways to leverage our projects to increase diversity. We strive to design spaces where neighbors know, care for and about one another. We believe the skilled professionals who construct our spaces are equally respected collaborators in our work.
