Dexine Rubber and Leyland Rubber Components became DLR Elastomer Engineering Ltd in 2021 after the acquisition of Elastomer Engineering Ltd. Formed by the combining of Leyland Rubber Components Ltd. with Dexine Rubber Technologies Ltd to form a new company Dexine Leyland Rubber Technology Ltd (DLRT). Both Dexine Rubber Technologies and Leyland Rubber Components have expertise in the manufacture and supply of industrial rubber polymers. Dexine has a long history dating back to 1895 and including being a key supplier to the War Office, whilst Leyland Rubber Components was born of a consolidation of a number of north west-based rubber manufacturing businesses. Both businesses bring unique and complimentary skills and competencies to the new DLRT, which will result in a stronger business with an enhanced product range. Leyland Rubber Components Ltd will bring specific expertise in the fabrication of fire resistant and low smoke, low toxic polymer products to complement Dexine’s wide range of bespoke compounds and products. The Dexine range of shock absorbing and anti-vibration components will also be extended and enhanced by Leyland Rubber Component Ltd’s existing product range, which is designed to serve the electronics industry.
