Devon Disability Collective – is a Social Enterprise that provides employment and training for people with disabilities and those furthest from the labour market through our own commercial enterprises. The DDC staff along with support from Devon County Council, Exeter City Council and Community Union undertook a business takeover from Pluss in July 2015. The long-serving members of staff (most of whom are disabled) now own and manage the business, which has been operating for over 55 years in a 10,000 sq ft factory based on Marsh Barton Industrial Estate in Exeter. DDC currently operates in four key areas: Wheelchair Upholstery Products - serving NHS Wheelchair Centres Re-Upholstery Services – Home, Business, Auto-Motive & Marine Mobility Showroom (Servicing and Hire) Light Engineering and Assembly
