The Developing the Young Workforce West Region (DYW West) are the Scottish Government grant funded regional group for Renfrewshire, East Renfrewshire, West Dunbartonshire & Inverclyde. Hosted by West College Scotland, we are here to develop and build links between industry and education in order to help reduce youth unemployment and help Scotland develop the young workforce. Our grant funds the regional group team and also DYW Schools coordinators across all 36 secondary schools in our region including ASN. Our work helps bring the curriculum at school / college to life by involving industry. We help young people get ready for work before they leave education by understanding the skills, qualifications and qualities employers look for. We also share across our channels regular opportunities for young people such as apprenticeships. We can also help increase industry awareness and share opportunities with young people while still at school / college We are always seeking organisations of all sectors and sizes to work with us that are in or near: Renfrewshire, East Ren, Inverclyde and West Dunbartonshire. #ypguarantee #dyw #stem #apprenticeships
